The PRM1000 marine gearbox is used in commercial and leisure boats, if correctly installed and maintained the PRM1000 gearbox will have a long life.
Every PRM gearbox has an identification plate fitted with two lines of numbers. The top line is the gearbox serial number and should be quoted when ordering spares. The lower line is the gearbox specification as follows:
First 4 digits: – Gearbox Model (1000)
Fifth digit – output shaft configuration (D)
Sixth and sevength digit – ratio (4)
