Not sure which part you need? Give us a call. With decades of experience in Perkins engines, we can help you identify the right component for your specific engine build code.
Start with the engine identification number on your data plate. You’ll find the data label on the cylinder block, and on the rocker cover where fitted. The country, serial number and year are also stamped directly into the block.
Before you order, have these ready:
Engine fitments vary by production year, market specification and machine configuration, so two machines with the same model name may need different engines.
Use our JCB 444 Engine Cross Reference to match your machine model, or our JCB Engine Numbers Lookup to search by your 320/xxxxx part number. You can also call us and we’ll help you find the right unit.
These letters describe how the engine takes in air and how it is fuelled:
The second letter of your engine identification number confirms which type you have. Your 320/xxxxx part number also confirms the voltage, so you can match your machine’s electrics.
Match the type to the engine you are replacing. Moving from a mechanical engine to an electronic one needs extra work on the engine harness and ECU.
A new JCB engine replaces your old one like for like, so your machine keeps its original specification. JCB designs and builds the 444 at its Dove Valley engine plant in Derbyshire.
Buying from Timik gives you:
Not sure which engine fits? Send us your engine number and we’ll confirm it before you order.
Your new JCB engine's power can be re-set by the ECU within certain power ranges, for example the internal parts, including the fuel injectors, in a JCB 444 68kW T4 engine are the same as a JCB 444 81kW and 93kW T4 engine, because of this the power output can be adjusted without risk to your engine.
We recommend using your original ECM as this is pre-set specifically to your machine, as with all replacement electronic engines the injectors will need recoding to your ECU using the correct files for your engine and application.
