Replacement Fresh Water Pump for Ford Genesis Marine Engines
If you are replacing the water pump on a Mermaid Manta II, or maintaining another compatible Ford Genesis-based marine installation, this pump is intended as a replacement component for the engine cooling system.
The engine’s forced water circulation is controlled by this centrifugal pump to help maintain the correct operating temperature during marine use.
Ideal as a replacement water pump for servicing, repair or refurbishment of Ford Genesis-based Mermaid marine engines.
This pump uses a serpentine / Poly Vee belt.
If your engine is the 4 Cylinder Ford Genesis base engine, known as the Mermaid Melody engine you will require pump 3-7500073.
Helpful Tip
When temperatures are possibly falling below 0 degrees, make sure water is mixed with a proper amount of antifreeze, which prevents oxidation, corrosion, foaming, fouling and freezing down to -20 degrees by a 30% mixture. Do not remove the coolant mix in the other seasons, but renew it every 2 years.
