For turbocharged Ford Dover engines producing under 212HP, the engine is fitted with piston assembly 2720830M, which is supplied with the correct chrome top piston ring already installed.

Turbocharged Dover Engines Over 212HP

For engines producing over 212HP, the heavy-duty piston assembly N101189 is typically fitted. This piston assembly is supplied complete with piston rings and is intended for use in cast-lined engines.

When installing the N101189 piston assembly into an engine fitted with chrome liners, the supplied top ring must be replaced with a chrome-plated version. In these applications, piston ring set 3-2720831 is required to provide the correct chrome top ring specification.
