The Perkins 1104C-44TA is a four-cylinder, 4.4 litre diesel from the Perkins 1100 Series. The TA designation marks it as turbocharged and aftercooled, the highest-output configuration in the 1104 range. This unit is built to Manitou specification and supplied new as a complete engine.
It runs a 105mm bore and 127mm stroke, an 18.2:1 compression ratio, and a 1-3-4-2 firing order, with direct injection and a cast iron block. The 1100 Series is designed to meet EU Stage II/IIIA and US EPA Tier 2/Tier 3 equivalent emissions standards. Power and torque are set to the Manitou rating for this build.
The 1104C-44TA was used widely across telehandlers and material handling machinery, including Manitou’s range. As a Manitou-spec build, it is configured to suit the machines that originally specified this engine. It is supplied new, not as a rebuild, so there is no core return to arrange.
