Today, this legendary engine remains a dependable choice for mechanics and tractor owners due to its durable build quality, ease of repair, and consistent performance even under demanding conditions.

How we rebuild the Ford 5610 III Engine

Step 01

Core Restoration

The engine block is bored back to standard with new liners fitted. The cylinder head is remanufactured with valve seats re-cut and new valves fitted. The crankshaft is ground to precise tolerances.

Step 02

Reassembly

All engines are rebuilt in our clean workshop with new pistons and rings, bearings, oil pump, water pump, and complete gasket set. Fuel injection equipment is remanufactured and turbochargers replaced where applicable.

Step 03

Quality Assurance

Every engine is dynamometer tested to confirm correct power output, oil pressure, and operating temperatures. Engines are painted and prepared for delivery with full documentation.

Guide pricing

Prices exclude VAT.

Engine as described from £4,050 + VAT
Block porosity treatment £300 + VAT (optional)

What is block porosity treatment?

Ford tractor engine blocks are prone to microscopic pores and casting voids that can allow coolant to seep into the oil over time. Block porosity treatment seals these voids using a vacuum impregnation process, where resin is drawn into any leakage paths and cured under pressure. This significantly extends engine life and reduces the risk of coolant contamination after rebuild. We recommend this treatment for all Ford engines where long-term reliability is a priority.

Exchange policy

All engines are supplied on an exchange basis. You send us your existing engine and we return a fully remanufactured unit. If you do not have a donor engine, contact us to discuss surcharge options.

Donor engine requirements

Donor engines must be complete (block, head, crankshaft, and major castings intact). Engines with severe damage may incur additional charges. Contact us before dispatch for assessment.
