4.4-litre, 4-cylinder, in-line. Bore 103mm, stroke 132mm, firing order 1-3-4-2. Turbocharged and aftercooled (TCAE), high-pressure common rail electronic injection. No aftertreatment required.
If your existing turbocharger is mounted differently to the standard configuration, we can convert the engine by supplying and fitting a new OEM turbocharger to match your specification at additional cost. We cover this conversion under our own Timik warranty.
Telehandlers (Construction): JCB 540-140 (Tier 3, high-output specification), JCB 540-170 (Tier 3).
Telehandlers (Agricultural): JCB 535-95 Agri Plus (Tier 3, 130hp), JCB 535-95 Agri Super (Tier 3, early models — later Agri Super uses the JCB 448 4.8L engine, not the 444).
Wheel Loaders: JCB 416HT (Tier 3, approximately 2007 to 2012).
