This is the Perkins 404D-22 industrial open power unit, a four-cylinder, 2.2 litre naturally aspirated diesel from the Perkins 400 Series, supplied complete with a cooling system and radiator. The unit is rated at 36.3kW with 12V electrics, under build code GN82359.

The 404D-22 runs an 84mm bore and 100mm stroke, a 23.3:1 compression ratio, indirect injection with a cassette fuel pump, and a 1-3-4-2 firing order. It meets EU Stage IIIA and US EPA Tier 4 Interim equivalent emissions standards. The compact 2.2 litre package delivers reliable performance with a low maintenance overhead.

The 404D-22 IOPU suits a wide range of compact industrial applications including skid steer loaders, mini excavators, lift platforms, lighting towers, compressors and materials handling equipment.
