Models M185C, M215C, M225Ti M265Ti and M300Ti engines are turbocharged and intercooled, with a Perkins 1006 base engine number beginning with ‘YD’. The photos show an example of an engine we can supply on a build to order basis, please book far in advance to avoid disappointment.

The Perkins M185C Marine Propulsion Engine is a light duty 6 cylinder, turbocharged, intercooled diesel engine built for commercial applications such as coastal fishing and other high usage applications up to 3,000 hours annually (excluding tugs and barges in continuous operation).
Perkins designed this engine with premium features for reliability and resilience, including high capacity heat exchange equipment with cupro-nickel tube stack ensuring low operating temperatures for unrivalled operation. Gear driven engine and raw water pumps with high quality silicon hosing fitted for reliable cooling, meeting the formidable demands of the marine industry and environment.
The M185C Propulsion Unit uses Quadram Direct Injection, a Bosch rotary fuel injection pump with boost control and electric stop solenoid, a wastegated turbocharger system reducing the maximum cylinder pressure, and air intake silencer, offering fuel economy improvement, noise reduction and enhanced engine performance.
